JERRY TINDELL 2005 CLINIC PHOTOS

We learned so much from the round pen demonstrations. We learned to watch the cup of the ear, the tip of the nose, the arch of the body.  We learned how our body movements affected our horses.  We learned softening techniques and so much more.

All of our horses went through this "waterfall."  The owners of this horse applied all the ground techniques to give her only one "opening" whcih, was through the waterfall.  By the end of the lesson, this horse had no fear of walking through the waterfall.  What you can't see is the scary balloon next to the waterfall.

They won the beauty contest.

OUR MAY 2005 CLINIC WITH JERRY TINDELL

This horse had changed and softened by the end of the lesson.  These clinics are great for horse owners because when your horse is in the round pen, you can observe your horse doing things that directly affect you on the trail.

Tarps and umbrellas were really scary to all the horses.  Jerry pointed out to me that I owed it to my horse, Poppy, to help her overcome her anxiety.  Poppy was afraid of everything.  She came in rearing.  She left the lesson, very calmly, and showed no fear of the umbrella or the tarps, even when they were following her.

Each of our riders and horses worked really heard all three days of this clinic.  We had a great time and learned so much.  Our horses really taught us that with our help, they can, and will do anything we ask.  We just need to know what we want, how to ask, and recognize when we get it.

AT THIS JERRY TINDELL CLINIC, THE OWNER OF THIS HORSE HAD NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET HER HORSE TO STAND FOR A CLIPPING.  WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME, USING ALL THE METHODS JERRY TAUGHT US ON THE GROUND, THIS ROCKY MOUNTAIN HORSE STARTED CRAZY SCARED, THEN STOOD STILL, DROPPED HIS HEAD, AND WAS CLIPPED!

WATCHING A LIFE CHANGING DEMONSTRATION IN THE ROUND PEN.

JERRY WAS TEACHING THIS HORSE TO GIVE TO THE PRESSURE AND BEND HIS NECK.  WHEN THE HORSE WOULD SOFTEN AND BEND HIS NECK, HE GOT HIS RELEASE.
